Parabéns Vini. The young samba boy turns 19 years old today.
Last summer the Brazilian joined Real Madrid after turning 18 and has been on the rise ever since. He flew with the team to the USA for pre-season where he impressed everyone with his dazzling skills and rapid speed. But it was a slow start for Vinícius once the season started. In the first few months of the 2018/19 season, he had to play for the Castilla where he was able to show his talent. Under Julen Lopetegui he got to enjoy only 12 minutes of LaLiga football.
Everything changed with the appointment of Santiago Solari. Solari was Vinícius’ coach at the Castilla and therefore knew what he was able to do. More first team football was the result and after some months the Brazilian was already a starter.
He finished the season with 31 appearances in which he managed to score 4 goals as well as getting 8 assists.
