RB Leipzig player Dayot Upamecano has reportedly agreed to join Bayern Munich next summer.
The central defender’s current contract is due to expire in 2021, and it is thought to be extremely unlikely he will extend his stay at the Red Bull Arena. As Upamecano appears set for a move to pastures new this summer, German publication BILD have today reported the Bavarians are keen to negotiate a price less than his 60 million euros buy-out clause.
Real Madrid had been monitoring the 21-year old, after head coach Zinedine Zidane admitted his admiration for his countryman. But despite AS, L’Equipe and SoccerLink reporting interest in the player from Los Blancos, the latest reports to come out from Germany indicate the Frenchman will remain in the Bundesliga.
