The agreement between Real Madrid and Donny van de Beek is no more.

In a report published on Wednesday morning by the Dutch outlet Telegraaf, it has been confirmed that the Spanish club have been in contact with the player, informing him they can no longer carry out the transfer per their initial agreement.

Real are understood to be struggling financially post Covid-19, and through the Spanish media, have voiced and echoed their intentions against spending this upcoming summer window.

The 23-year old midfielder would have cost in the region of €50 million, but has been told by Madrid that he is welcome to seek alternate clubs as his next destination.
