Two of Real Madrid’s loanees started for Arsenal in their 4-2 win over Leeds United on Sunday evening.
Martin Ødegaard made his first start for the Gunners, and Dani Ceballos also featured in the starting XI for Mikel Arteta’s side which ran riot in the first half.
Since joining on a short-term loan last month, the Norwegian has so far only made two appearances off the bench, but played 78 minutes last night before being replaced by Mohamed Elneny.
And following the victory, the 21-year old perhaps hinted at wanting to extend the loan:
“The way they took me into the team, my teammates, and how they treated me, as well as the manager and everyone in the club, they helped me since the first minute. I feel really comfortable and a part of the team, so it’s been easy to come in to this team because of the way they are and the way they have treated me. I’m just really happy to be here, and I’m proud to be part of this team. Going back to Real Madrid at the end of the season? You never know what is going to happen. Right now, I’m just focusing on doing my best this season and helping the team.”
