Real Madrid completed the last training session at the Montreal Impact’s facilities and Lucas Vázquez sat down with Realmadrid TV to talk about the time they spent in the Canadian city and how it will benefit the team.
“They’ve been very tough sessions. We’ve worked hard on the physical aspect, with long and intense sessions. That’s why we came to Montreal and we’re happy.
After completing the first part of preparations in Montreal, the Whites will fly to United States on Friday, where they will participate in the International Champions cup, and will take on Bayern Munich in the first match of the 2019/20 pre-season tour.
“The most important thing is to get confidence and game time. We’ve got to take the work from these sessions in Montreal into the match against Bayern and start to get up to speed with the ball,” Lucas added.
The Galician winger was linked to a move to Arsenal this summer, but despite the rumours he is ready to start his fifth campaign in the Spanish capital and hopes to win some silverware at the end of it.
“We have to work as a team and win games on the weekends. We have to get that good feeling back and, above all, win titles at the end of the season.”
