James, who is currently at the Copa America with Colombia, is enjoying a great tournament so far. Having registered two assists in the opening two games, he almost added a third one last night if it wasn’t for VAR to rule the goal out because of a handball.
Following his side’s 1-0 win over Paraguay last night, the Colombian spoke to the press after being asked about his future.
“Right now I am thinking about the Copa America and I don’t know where I’ll be going. The decision depends on the club.
“I think there are some people inside the club who decide a lot and I can’t do anything.
“I haven’t spoken with Zidane”, he added after being asked if he exchanged words with Zinedine Zidane about his current situation.
However, it’s almost impossible that the midfielder will be in Real Madrid’s squad next season since he isn’t in Zidane’s plans. Real Madrid are confident that they can sell him this summer instead of sending him out on loan again. The club will probably wait for the rest of the Copa America and hope that his great form continues so that more lucrative offers arrive.
