Life at Real Madrid isn’t getting any easier for Luka Jovic.
After a difficult opening season in terms of opportunities, the Serbian has now broken a bone in his right foot, just as Los Blancos were due to return to training.
The club confirmed the players would begin training on Monday, after having been given the green light by La Liga, as preparations around Spain begin to resume the season.
Before the temporary suspension of the league due to Covid-19, Jovic spent most of the time on the bench, averaging only 10 minutes on the pitch from that role off the bench.
The 22-year old has only made eight starts in his 24 appearances, scoring twice during a total of 169 minutes on the pitch.
And he’s now expected to be out for two months, which is mostly likely going to rule him out for the remainder of the campaign.
