Zinedine Zidane has selected a 19-man squad for Real Madrid’s first home match of the new year. The Whites will welcome Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday (16:00 CET), corresponding to matchday 20 of the 2019/20 LaLiga season.
Sergio Ramos suffered an injury in the Spanish Super Cup final against Atlético on Sunday and despite training with the team on Friday, the captain will not be forced and is missing from the squad.
Karim Benzema was also hit by an injury blow and missed the Super Cup triumph in Saudi Arabia with a bruised leg but the Frenchman overcame his fitness issues and is available for the clash. Gareth Bale trained with the squad but it seems like it’s too early for him to be involved.
Fede Valverde has been handed a one-match suspension following his red card in Sunday’s final. Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio are still out injured, while Odriozola, James Rodriguez and Mariano have been left out for technical reasons.
