Real Madrid returned to training on Tuesday morning and began to prepare for the trip to Villarreal, which will take place on Sunday at the Estadio de la Cerámica (21:00 CET).
Mariano, who trained using the indoor facilities during the whole past week, returned to the group. Zinedine Zidane called up Castilla players Diego Altube, Alvaro Fidalgo and Fran Garcia for the workout.
The first training session of the week got underway with exercises that combined ball and physical work, then the group divided in two teams and practiced pressing and possession. The session draw to a close with playing matches in reduced sized pitches.
Marco Asensio, Brahim Díaz, Eden Hazard, James Rodriguez, and Rodrygo Goes continued with their recovery processes. The Brazilian was also out running on the pitch.
As for the rest of the week, there will be morning sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll also find out our opponents in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League on Thursday, before the final training sessions taking place on Friday and Saturday. Zinedine Zidane will also hold a press conference on Saturday, after training, to preview his side’s third league match of the season. The squad will then travel to Castellón to face Villarreal on Sunday night.
