AC Milan have started negotiations with Real Madrid to sign Brahim Diaz on loan with the option to buy, according to Fabrizio Romano and Sky Italia.
The 21-year-old joined Real Madrid in January 2019 on a six-and-a-half year contract, for a transfer fee reported to be worth €17 million, despite the player being available in June for free, as his contract with the Manchester based club was due to expire.
The promising youngster has been constantly refusing loan deals, even though he only made a total of 21 appearances across all competitions in the season and a half that he spent in Madrid, which is clearly not enough for him to develop, making a loan deal seen as the solution that will inevitably benefit all parties involved.
AC Milan have made Brahim their top transfer target, as Stefano Pioli’s team are looking to qualify for the Europa League in the coming weeks, so they want to strengthen their attacking options as much as possible.
According to MARCA, the Italians are pushing hard to sign Brahim, but around 20 other clubs are also interested in signing him on loan.
